     Welcome back fellow Skiers and Snowboarders!  

Looks like mother nature is prepping for another great ski season.  I am looking forward to meeting all of the "oldies" and many "newbies" for the 2017-18 ski/snowboarding season!  
Below you will find a list of dates times and prices.
Please take note and check this site often, as I will be updating as new information comes in.

 Our First trip will be on Saturday, December 23rd!

All money and paperwork for the first trip is due no later than

Tuesday, December 19th, by 3:15 PM

On all day trips the bus will begin loading in the front parking lot

at 10:45 am and leave promptly at 11:00am

Skiing hours will be 12:30 pm- 4:30 pm   

Bus will return by 6:00 pm

  Please be on time to pick up your children.

  

Please continue to check this website for updates to ski dates, times, and when money is due.  Also, if you are not able to attend and signed up, you need to contact me no later than noon (night trips) and 9am(day trips) the same day, to receive a full refund. 
 
 

 


 

ONAWAY AREA SCHOOLS SKI CLUB

Rules and Expectations

 Please take care to read the following rules and information so your child will have a fun and safe season.

  • Ski Club is open to all Onaway Students Grades 3 thru 12
  • However, all 3rd and 4th Grade students must have an older Student or Adult with Ski experience to assist them with their Ski equipment and help them find their way around, etc.
  • This Ski Buddy is not the responsibility of the school, so please insure your 3rd or 4th grader finds someone with Ski experience to help them out.
  • We Strongly encourage all students ( not just beginners) to take a lesson on your first trip
  • We Strongly encourage all Students and Adults to always Wear a Helmet 
  • All students are expected to ride the bus to and from all ski events.
  • Parent’s written permission is required if a student is not riding the bus.
  • Students may NOT get rides from other students; only parents or other adults.
  • Please ensure your transportation to and from the school is arranged ahead of time.
  • PLEASE BE SURE YOU ARE on time for bus loading/departure AND that you are PICKED UP ON TIME WHEN returning to school!
  • Please remind students, for their safety, there will be NO SNOW BLADES!

     2017/18  Prices

Lift ticket-$10       Ski/Snowboard Rental- $7        Helmet-$4,     Lesson-$7,        Transportation-$5  

MONEY FOR EACH TRIP NEEDS TO BE TURNED IN TO THE HIGH SCHOOL OFFICE. 

This will be the only collection site. IT IS THE STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY TO INSURE IT IS PLACED IN THE BOX MARKED “SKI CLUB” BY THE DUE DATE. 

PLEASE BE SURE ALL MONIES ARE IN A SEALED ENVELOPE AND CLEARLY MARKED WITH THE STUDENT’S NAME AND IF THEY ARE RENTING SKI'S OR A SNOWBOARD. 

USE EXACT CHANGE! THE OFFICE WILL NOT MAKE CHANGE FOR YOU.

ALL CHECKS NEED TO BE WRITTEN TO “ONAWAY AREA COMMUNITY SCHOOLS. 


 PLEASE TURN IN ALL Information TO THE "SKI CLUB" BOX IN THE HIGH SCHOOL OFFICE  

Return times are approximate!  Times may vary slightly due to weather conditions, unforeseen situations, etc.

*If time allows, we will stop at the nearby party store on the way home. Students may purchase items if they wish.

 Any changes regarding ski club information will be announced first on the school’s website under “Ski Club” Students and parents are encouraged to check this page on a regular basis. 

 

All students (3-12th grade) are welcome and encouraged to enjoy the opportunity to ski and snowboard at Nub's Nob in beautiful Harbor Springs. 
Please be sure to read the newly posted information carefully. So come, bring a friend or two, and join us in enjoying the winter wonderland! Here's looking ahead to a fun and safe season on the slopes!
